Dear [Insert your business name here]
I used to shop at your store all the time, but to tell the truth, I forgot about you. See, the really big stores throw so much advertising in my face that I think of them first when I need something. Sorry. I know their advertising budgets are really big and yours isn’t. Too bad there’s no affordable way you can let me know you’re still there and continue to carry the products I like.
I would love to shop with you if only I could remember to stop in! Maybe you could email me once in a while to remind me that you’re still there.
Sincerely,
Your (former) loyal customer
Do you think keeping loyal customers is expensive? It’s not.
Do you think emailing customers to remind them of your superb service is spam? It’s not.
Do you think it’s hard to fit it into your schedule? How about I fit it into MY schedule instead?
Do you think your customers know all the products and services you offer? I bet they can’t name half of them.
Can’t think of what to say in an email? What?! Listen to yourself. You say things every day on the phone and in person that your customers would love to know.
Keeping customers is cheaper and easier than getting customers. Let’s keep yours.
